21 sty 2019 · After doing some research online we heard about how American Airlines is re-fitting their 777-300ER fleet with an Economy Plus cabin and an interesting quirk of the seat layout that caused row 20 in regular economy to only have 8 across seating (4 middle seats and a pair of seats on each side) instead of the regular 10 across seating plan.

However, for passengers looking for a bit of extra legroom without having to splash the cash, you can do worse than to pick a Main Cabin Extra seat. There are 28 of these onboard, offering 36 inches of seat pitch rather than the usual 31/32.
The economy class is also well-equipped, offering a pitch of 31 to 32 inches (79-81 cm) and a seat width ranging from 16.2 to 17.1 inches (41-43 cm), with personal entertainment options available at each seat.
