Nice lake with decent beach. Canoe and kayak rental at marina went real smoothly and boating was good. On hot day with beating sun, there was shady side of the lake for boating.

Lake Hope State Park is a public recreation area encompassing 2,983 acres (1,207 ha) within Zaleski State Forest, located five miles (8.0 km) northeast of Zaleski in Vinton County, Ohio. The state park is centered on Lake Hope, a 120-acre (49 ha) impoundment on Big Sandy Run.

6 lut 2024 · In my opinion, Lake Hope has the second best beach in the state. The sand is soft and well-cared for, and the water is serene. At the time of writing this, July 2023, construction of a dam is ongoing.
