22 kwi 2008 · AirTran Baggage. Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item. Each passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items.
All passengers traveling on AirTran Airways are restricted to one bag plus one small, personal item (e.g. purse, briefcase, camera, food container, or laptop). The carry-on bag must be stowed either under the seat in front of the passenger, or in the overhead bin.
AirTran Airways limits carry-on bag dimensions to 24” long x 16” wide x 10” tall. If the bag exceeds these dimensions, it is considered too large to be a carry-on item and must be checked. All carry-on items must fit under the seat or in the overhead bin.
Carry-on Baggage: Powders and granular materials in quantities of 350 mL or less can be transported in carry-on baggage. Checked Baggage: Powder substances and granular materials exceeding 350 mL (12 oz.) must be transported in checked baggage.
Carry-on. Carry-on baggage (1 per passenger) can be up to 40 cm in length, 23 cm in width and 51 cm in height. A personal item is also authorized in the cabine and can be up to 43.2 cm in length, 12.7 cm in width and 30.5 cm in height. If a piece of baggage is both oversized and overweight, both fees will apply.
