There are six sides on the puzzle, referred to as faces, all of which can be turned individually: Up, Down, Left, Right, Front and Back. Up – Down – Left – Right – Front – Back. The notation for each of these is U, D, L, R, F and B respectively. These faces can be turned in three different ways/directions, however.
