It’s not a scam. Someone put accidentally put your phone number into the reservation, the computer messed up their phone number as it frequently does, or the computer is just entirely off the rocking chair.
United’s customer service number is 1-800-864-8331. Sounds like you must’ve gotten a number from an ad page claiming to be United customer service, but in reality was the travel agency you worked with. Could try a charge back. Looks like you have been scammed.
