So in summary: Skyscanner is good to give you ideas re. routes, schedules. It can also give you some indications re. prices, but those have to be checked. Best is to buy directly from the airline for different reasons (e.g. no middle man, no hidden fees).
Previously for flights to Europe, I’ve used Skyscanner to help me find the cheapest deal which I then book directly through the airline. As I’m beginning to look at flights, I’ve seen a $200 drop in a great Air France flight.

Most agencies who quote and list on them, are just adverts and not live pricing. I also use google flights to do the same type of searches.
