In all likelihood, your ticket will be electronic, so no actual physical ticket will be issued. You’ll check in with the airline operating your first flight with that confirmation number (if checking in online) or just your ID (if checking in at the airport).
You should have amongst the stuff you got from Expedia a short reference number, called a PNR. It will generally be about 6 digits, mostly letters. You'd use that to go on the airlines website, access "manage my booking" or similar name, and use that to check in online and print your boarding pass when the time is right.

I purchased a round-trip ticket on Expedia. Upon payment, I immediately received a confirmation e-mail from Expedia with a Confirmation Number (6 characters) and an Itinerary Number (13 digits). However, the email also said "Your e-ticket is not yet confirmed."
