I recommend you stay no farther south than Hapuna, but if you really expect to be near the parents of the bride, look for a rental in Kohala Estates or Kohala Ranch (but the Ranch is all high end homes except for the B&B I recommended in my first post).

Top ways to experience Kohala and nearby attractions. This coast has some of the best beaches and some of the most luxurious hotels on the island. But you are also close to ancient temples and waterfalls and artist areas. Hawaii at its best imho.
