Dress Code. HISD allows each individual campus to establish its own dress code or uniform policy. The goal of a dress code is to ensure that students stay focused on learning and to create a positive and safe environment. We appreciate parent and student support in upholding our dress code.
Daily Elementary's School Uniform: REQUIRED. Shirts: Solid polo style collar shirt in either White, Hunter Green or Gold. Pants: Khaki, Denim pants, jeans, shorts, skirts, skorts (no more than 2 inches above the knee). No ripped/cut up pants or jeans.
Highland Heights students should wear the required school uniform everyday. The uniform consists of the following: RED SHIRTS. • Appropriately-sized long or short sleeve “polo” style shirts or collared dress shirts in solid red. • Shirts must be worn inside pants, skirt or jumpers. Students are expected to dress or groom themselves in clothes and accessories that are appropriate for school activities, including, but not limited to rubber soled shoes for physical education. Students must wear shoes all the time.
The following information for Student Dress Code is taken directly from the 2023-2024 Huntsville ISD Student Handbook on pages 48-49. The district’s dress code teaches grooming and hygiene, prevents disruption, minimizes safety hazards, and maintains a positive learning climate.
Teachers, coaches or sponsors may define appropriate dress for school-sponsored trips and extracurricular activities. Campus principal has the authority to make decisions regarding dress code that are not outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
