30 wrz 2013 · 1. Trim waste fabric from one side of entredeux. 2. Gather lace to desired fullness to fit entredeux strip by pulling the uppermost thread in lace header. Pin strip of gathered lace to ironing board or padded surface right side up.

With the entredeux on top, use a straight stitch (L=2.0) to stitch in the ditch right along the "ladder" of the entredeux (see photo 1). Photo 2. 3. Trim the seam allowance to 1/8 inch.

Roll and whip this seam allowance by zigzagging (L=1.0; W=4.5) so that one needle swing goes into the fabric right along the previous straight stitching, and the other needle swing goes off the edge of the fabric, rolling the seam allowance (photo 2).
8 mar 2012 · Use a cotton organdy, batiste, or a similar lightweight fabric, 60-weight cotton thread, cording, and the Wing needle. The cording raises the outer edges of the stitching. If your stitches begin to pucker, place appropriate-weight stabilizer under the fabric strip.
20 sie 2010 · Pin Entredeux to fabric, right sides together and raw edges even. Pin the Entredeux to the Fabric. Be sure to trim the entredeux selvage if necessary to match the seam allowance of your garment.
10 cze 2024 · When sewn, entredeux also joins two pieces of fabric, lace, or whatever else you want to join. Here is a strip of entredeux before sewing, shown with the fabric I used for S’s Butterfly Blouse. The solid edges that align the entredeux are the seam allowances, which will get trimmed after sewing.
