"Premium Economy" is a branded section of the plane that has bigger seats than Economy or Economy Plus, wider armrests, and it reclines more, like a Lazy-Boy. The meal service is sometimes better especially on longer flights.

Economy Plus is economy with a few extra inches of legroom. Premium Plus is a totally different seat, the width and legroom are roughly comparable to domestic first class. UA gave us an upgrade to Premium Plus the last time we flew back from Europe.
