5 gru 2021 · The number one reason is Classic Auto Air still uses cable controls for E Bodies but Vintage Air uses all electric servos. As for the dash pad, I'm buying a non AC pad and installing the center and passenger vents under dash.
8 cze 2011 · Both have a kit that includes the compressor, condenser, hoses, drier and expansion valve. The only difference I see is Classic Auto Air wants $789 for its kit and does not list a compressor safety switch in the kit. The old Air Kit is priced at $580 with a compressor safety switch.
29 sie 2021 · Both are very similar and great units, I personally prefer the classic auto air setup over vintage. Particularly for 70-72 since vintage air requires you to cut the back of the glove box on those years.
14 maj 2009 · I have installed Classic Auto Air in two old cars, including an old Chevelle. I have installed Vintage in old cars. They are about equally hard/easy to install. My experience is Classic Auto systems work better mainly because they use the new design more efficient aluminum condensers and the condensers are larger.
5 lut 2005 · I'm installing the classic auto air perfect fit system as we speak. In fact, I worked on it for several hours today. I've been very impressed with the design and quality to this point. My only bitch...and I consider it a MAJOR one...is the directions aren't complete. The insturctions for my '65 came in 3 sections. 1.
