24 wrz 2009 · The owner's and service manual indicate to change the timing belt at 90,000 miles or 6-7 years (can't remember which), whichever comes first. Do I really need to heed the time recommendation and consider changing the timing belts, water pump, etc in 2010, or can I wait longer?
5 kwi 2020 · I know my Tacoma has a timing belt. How often should this be serviced and what are the signs of one going bad. I'm guessing misfires and rough idling/running engine.

15 mar 2021 · I just replaced the serpentine belt on my '19 and after many hours of googling had a very hard time finding a complete description of how to do this on the 3rd gen, so I thought I'd write up a couple things I learned and steps I couldn't find described.
Timing belts are 'belts' and you never know when they'll break. You'll never see signs that it'll break. You're better off changing it soon - or else it'll leave you sit and stranded somewhere. Other items to change: Water Pump, thermostat & all 3 accessory belts.
