Barefoot Beach preserve is a nice spot right by the beach. It costs $8 to get in. There is a big parking lot, but it does fill up on busy days. When you walk the trails, listen for rustling in the bushes. That could be a tortoise. The trail has marking posts showing some of the plants along the way.
Barefoot Beach is THE beach we went to while on vacation in Bonita Springs. After a Monday morning spent looking for parking at Bonita Beach, we discovered the $8/day Barefoot Beach and never looked back. Parking to beach access is EASY and quick, even with children in tow.
