This E6B calculator helps pilots to correct their course and speed to account for wind conditions. When you provide ground speed, wind speed, wind direction, and true course, it calculates the wind correction angle, the corrected heading (true heading), and the corrected ground speed.

Your ASA E6-B Flight Computer has two main parts: a circular slide rule side for making quick calculations, and a wind side for computing ground speed and wind correction angle. The slide portion of the circular slide rule side also includes quick-reference material.
You can use the calculator side of your flight computer to convert nautical miles (NM) to statute miles (SM), or knots (kt.) to miles per hour (mph). Remember, the units you use must be equivalent, i.e., nautical miles and knots or statute miles and miles per hour.
