There are two basic recruit classes per year, beginning in either January or July, according to the Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) curriculum of 25 weeks. Cadet classes run Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with limited nights and weekend training scheduled.
