26 maj 2017 · Ahead of 16 June 2017, HSBC Lebanon will temporarily stop some products and services to allow for a smooth transfer of your banking arrangements to BLOM BANK. The key dates and those products and services that will be stopped are set out in the table below.
HSBC’s Lebanese operation is likely to be sold off to Blom Bank, for a fee rumoured to be around US$100 million. It will be the end of an association with the country that began in 1946, when HSBC, then operating as the British Bank of the Middle East, opened for business in Beirut.
HSBC has been operating in Lebanon since 1946. It maintained a network of four offices in St. Georges Bay, Dora, Achrafieh and Ras Beirut which is supported by telephone and internet banking services.
18 cze 2017 · Lebanon's Blom Bank <BLOM.BY> said on Monday it had completed its acquisition of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited – Lebanon, a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings <HSBA.L>.
As part of the sale, all HSBC Lebanon branches will be transferred to BLOM BANK. You can therefore continue to visit any of the branches as normal both before and after the transfer to BLOM BANK. Can I use any of BLOM BANK’s other branches after the Transfer Date?
17 lis 2016 · On November 16, BLOM Bank announced it has signed an agreement, which is expected to be completed during the first half of 2017, to acquire HSBC Bank’s assets and liabilities. HSBC had 3 branches in Lebanon and total assets worth $953M.
19 cze 2017 · BLOM BANK S.A.L. announced that it has fully acquired all assets and liabilities of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited – Lebanon starting June 17, 2017 after obtaining the approval of Banque du Liban. HSBC operated through three branches in Dora, Ras Beirut, and “Zaitunay Bay”.
