7 sty 2017 · The DVD behaves correctly on the DVD player connected to our TV, but on the PC it just won't go. I have even tried my daughters computer (also Win 10 and VLC 2.2.4) but with exactly the same result - only the first episode will play no matter what I choose from the menu items or what other player buttons I click.
12 paź 2018 · Well, I've got a dedicated DVD player connected to my TV so I would never normally use vlc to playback DVDs on my laptop, but tonight I did in order to determine whether or not the movie would stop playing in the middle of the disc like you say it does on your machine. But it played right through to the end without any problem.
15 sty 2014 · VLC media player just stopped playing DVDs for me. I don't remember if it coincided with installing the latest version or not, unfortunately. I've tried 5 different DVDs and it's been the same for all of them.
18 cze 2008 · VLC Player (I have installed the newest 0.8.6h version) can play the DVD's but only by manualy selecting 'open disc' and then open 'DVD', but it can't show the menu's. Is this a bug in the program? Since other DVD player software can show it. The burner makes the following disc structure on a DVD_VR disc VIDEO_RM VIDEO_TS
21 kwi 2024 · But honestly, it feels like I'm constantly trying to trick VLC player into following a simple instruction, and it's constantly getting wise to it. I'm in an arms race and losing. Also, I can only save one episode at a time. Is there any way to set it doing all episodes of a whole DVD?
1 paź 2022 · (ok I lied, I cant put in pictures) I have disc selection is DVD, no disc menus selected, the disc device is my DVD player and the folder for the video, the starting position of both title and chapter 0, and audios and subtitles are both -1. Then I hit start and off she goes!
15 lis 2019 · This is an update and a bump post. I was able to get the DVD to run on Windows DVD player and I would assume Cyberlink Media Player 18, however the Cyberlink one won't recognize the audio for some reason so I didn't take it too far in that, anyways that means that the issue is VLC and not the DVD, how do I fix the issue so it doesn't happen again?
18 sie 2009 · I had the same problem in 1.1.11 and in the other version I had (1.1.06 I think). I updated hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't. Deactivating DVD menus fixed the crashing. But Windows media player and GOM both work fine. So what If I want to access the DVD menu to change from fullscreen to widescreen or to change something else?
16 cze 2008 · Sorry to say I have been experiencing this problem, too. It's also present in the new builds (I'm using 0.94 currently). Media Player Classic plays DVD's as expected. As per Any86's observations - selecting DVD play without Menu option seems to work without the stutter problem manifesting. Bumping up the buffer from 300ms has no effect.
19 lip 2023 · Sounds like a faulty DVD player or a bandwidth problem since you're using USB. Make sure to use at least an USB 3 plug and wire. Also open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.
