  1. If you're just using the search engine, not their browser, and not logging into a Yandex account, you should be fine. Assigning yandex.ru and/or yandex.com to a separate container in Firefox, as with Facebook, would help too, keeping it isolated from data from other sites you visit.

  6. Yandex is pretty good for reverse image search. Probably because you're in a country where it's one of the default ones: https://github.com/chromium/chromium/blob/main/components/search_engines/template_url_prepopulate_data.cc. Yandex is the Russian google.
