Our goal is to provide free, confidential, and convenient academic support to STC students in an online environment. We exist to help students achieve academic independence. Tutoring is done either with STC personnel or an Upswing Coach.
STC Tutors: four (4) hours of tutoring per week; two (2) extra hours available with approved request; Upswing (non-STC) Tutors: three (3) hours of tutoring per semester only
You can prep individually with a CLE tutor by making an appointment through our online tutoring platform Upswing. In addition, you can visit our TSI Resources webpage where you will find a variety of TSI Review videos and resources. You can also find sample questions and practice tests on our Helpful Links page.

Students will now use upswing for online tutoring services as well as schedule in-person tutoring appointments at any STC campus. Please watch this video for information on how to log on and schedule tutoring appointments. You can also upload writing assignments for review.
The CLE contracts tutoring hours through Upswing to provide access to tutoring support after hours. All STC students are granted three (3) hours of tutoring with Upswing tutors at the beginning of each semester.
