6 sie 2020 · We depended on the U.S. mail to bring us information and hoped-for connections to our family lines. We spent our time (and money) sending queries to genealogy magazines, joining dozens of local genealogy societies, writing letters to strangers and rushing to the mail box each day with high hopes.
The USGenWeb Digital Library for Virginia was developed to provide free on line data for genealogical research. These archives are dependent on volunteers, people just like you, to donate their time by transcribing public domain records or other non-copyrighted primary sources.
