1. Transcription. TED provides an original transcript for all TED and TED-Ed content. For TEDx talks, volunteers are able to utilize auto-generated transcriptions as a base, or create their own from scratch. 2. Translation. Subtitles are translated from the original language into the target language, using a dynamic subtitle editor.

How to download subtitles. Download subtitles from the subtitle language’s page. To download a subtitle file, go to the video’s page on Amara, and click the language you want to translate from. Afterwards, click “Download” and select the subtitle format. Most offline software is compatible with .srt subtitle files. How to download the talk.
The corpus comprises audio recordings and transcripts from TEDx Talks in 8 languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Greek, Arabic, German) with translations into up to 5 languages (English, Spanish, French, Portguese, Italian).
