I want to report a problem of Surface Pro 7 flickering screen -- random changing brightness of the screen -- and my solution of it. First, I had to replace a laptop, which fortunately was on the warranty because it was flickering even without Windows running. However, my replaced laptop had also flickering, but only when Windows were running.

2 mar 2023 · For Surface devices with attached keyboards/type cover, the tablet mode would normally kick in as soon as the keyboard/type cover is detached. For 2-in-1 laptops such as Surface Pro 7, while the touchscreen feature works as intended, rotating the screen all the way back enables the Tablet mode.

Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Pro 7 then click Download on the next page. Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next. After downloading, run and install the .msi.
Shut down your Surface. Press and hold the volume-up button on your Surface and at the same time, press and release the power button. When you see the Surface logo, release the volume-up button. The UEFI menu will display within a few seconds. If this resolves your issue, please mark as Answer.
