The first three books are exceptional, especially the third. It shows how different people play the game of thrones. Being honorable and righteous will not make you win in this kind of game. What I liked about it is the point-of-view of each characters.
Worst to best: Season 5: Clear drop off in quality, this should be at the bottom of everyone's list tbh, but Hardhome was badass. Season 2: Solid season, and I definitely loved it but it doesn't compare to seasons 1, 3, and 4. Season 1: Great great season with a very focused story, stays very close to the book material.
