7 lip 2024 · In Windows 10 Home 1607 build 14394.187 (x64) and signed in with a local administrator account, clicking ' create a password reset disk' has no effect (with or without a USB stick plugged in). Does work on Windows 10 Pro build 10586.589 (x86) though.
7 lis 2020 · Please excuse basic query, I have never used this before. Anyhow I prepared the bootable usb and when I tried it I get a box with X:\windows\system32> command prompt showing. Is this right? I am attempting to follow the Macrium Reflect Knowledgebase "Restoring a UEFI/GPT System image to MBR" where it says Open a Windows command window.
29 lip 2022 · There is no issue with the USB ports. The Bootable USB stick is visible in "Windows explorer" as well as "Device manager", but the "Advanced Start up" still does not show "Use another device". Incidentally, when I upgraded to version 1607, it was showing.

The Windows install.esd file contains the usual Windows install.wim file (WIM = W indows Im aging), encrypted and compressed.

I'm creating an ISO image with 2 editions of Windows in the install.wim. There is Windows 10 Pro x86 and Windows 10 Pro x64. Both come from original MSDN ISO images not modified in any way.

12 paź 2023 · The Windows 10 option includes both the Home and Pro editions. The product key you enter during installation (Windows Setup) is what determines which edition gets installed. If you select both for the Architecture, you will need to use at least a 10 GB USB flash drive if creating Windows 10 USB installation media with the ISO.
