LITTLE ROCK – Attorney General Tim Griffin issued the following statement warning Arkansans about a common scam in which callers claim to be a law enforcement officer and demand payment to resolve an alleged criminal matter:

4 maj 2024 · Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office has received several phone calls recently from individuals reporting scam calls. In these calls, the caller has pretended to be an employee of Faulkner County Sheriff’s Offfice. Most recently, the phone number used has been reported as 501-389-7076.
4 mar 2024 · BCSO says that an incident of this occurring was recently reported by a community member, who says they received a call from 800-456-3000, a spoofed number for Arkansas Federal Credit Union.
