Capes are commemorative items that are worn on the back of the player. Capes, as opposed to skins, cannot be custom-made, or be transferred to other accounts. They are mostly obtained by participating in various events such as the Mob Votes, MINECON or Minecraft Live. Some players have also received capes from contributing ideas into the game.
